Dr. Afshin Mazdey is a board-certified Endodontist who has proudly provided exceptional endodontic care to patients throughout the San Fernando Valley and Greater Los Angeles area since 1993. Having grown up in the San Fernando Valley, Dr. Mazdey has a deep appreciation for and longstanding commitment to the community he serves.

Dr. Mazdey earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1993. After more than a decade in private general dental practice, he pursued advanced specialty training in Endodontics at USC, where he served as Chief Resident under the mentorship of internationally renowned Endodontist James H. Simon. He received his postgraduate certificate in Endodontics from USC in 2005.

Dr. Mazdey achieved Diplomate status with the American Board of Endodontics, a distinction earned by only a small percentage of Endodontists in California and a select few within the San Fernando Valley. Board certification represents the highest level of achievement in the specialty of Endodontics.

In addition to private practice, Dr. Mazdey has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry at the Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry of USC and remains actively involved in organized dentistry through numerous professional organizations and leadership positions.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mazdey enjoys golfing, hiking, supporting the Los Angeles Lakers, and spending time with his wife, daughters, family, and friends. He remains committed to providing compassionate, advanced, and personalized endodontic care for the community he proudly calls home.
